Casa Daphne, 1420 Washington St, Laredo, TX 78040, USA
Daphne Art Foundation (Daphne) invites the Laredo community to its newest exhibition INTRIGA showcasing abstract and obscure contemporary media art. The exhibition opens during an opening reception on Friday, November 3 at 7 p.m. at Casa Daphne, located at 1420 Washington Street.
Admission is free. This event is open to all.
Intriga is a collective conversation of the abstract and obscure through media (visual and sound), video, virtual worlds, and 2D works through a lens of urbanity. The show features the artwork of local and out-of-town artists: Bernardo Diaz (Austin), Natalia Rocafuerte (Minnestora), Zack Nguyen (Dallas); Krista Quintanilla, Vicky Ramos, Jason Litman, and Martha Viera from Laredo.
Intriga is an invitation to converse with the unknown and awaken the psyche. In a way, it's a confrontation with the subconscious, shadows, and the curiosity that sparks inquiry -- within ourselves and our surroundings, between each other and others, or is left unanswered.
The exhibition will be on view from November 3 through January 5, 2024.
